Social Security Disability

Americans with a condition, disease or other disability which prevents them from obtaining employment can apply for Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits. SSD provides beneficiaries who are completely disabled with a monthly cash income. For most cases, the disability must prevent the beneficiary from working for at least 12 months or eventually result in death. Several levels of appeal may have to be pursued before the application of benefits is complete. Even if you are denied during any course of the appeal, you are not automatically disqualified from receiving benefits.

What are my attorney fees?

Fees are based on a percentage of the amount recovered after the conclusion of the case and is capped by a maximum fee amount established by the Social Security Administration. All attorney fee requests must also be approved by the Social Security Administration.

If you or a loved one has suffered an injury, illness or death that prevents you from working, call VanDerGinst Law at 1-866-843-7367 or click here for a FREE online case evaluation. The initial consultation is free of charge. If we agree to handle your injury case, we will work on a contingency fee basis, which means we get paid for our services only if, and when, there is a money recovery for you. In many cases a lawsuit must be filed before an applicable expiration date, known as a statute of limitations. So please call right away to ensure that you do not waive your right to possible compensation.
